The venue provides plenty of comfortable areas for friendly chats – cozy, but never cramped. Take a break from the sewing machine and talk about anything and everything with your new-found quilting friends!

Quilt Retreat at Lakeside Cabins FAQ

Shabby Fabrics’ Quilt Retreat at Lakeside Cabins is hosted by Camp Lutherhaven, located in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This mountainous terrain features an abundance of mature pine trees and views of Lake Coeur d’ Alene situated at approximately 2400 feet above sea-level. This is a true “camp” in the sense that it does not include paved walkways and elaborate accommodations; quilters should be prepared for dirt walkways, bunk beds, and more rugged conditions around the Lutherhaven campus.

Click the big, green ribbon that says RESERVE YOUR SPOT and select the date for the retreat you would like to attend. (If you are not already signed in to your Shabby Fabrics customer account, you will need to sign in. If you do not already have a Shabby Fabrics account, you will need to create one.) Follow the instructions on the sign-up form and continue until you have received confirmation of your registration. PLEASE NOTE: Once you begin the registration process, your spot will be reserved for only 15 minutes. Be sure you are prepared with payment information before beginning the registration process.

If you would like to register another person for the same retreat date, that person will need to create an account and sign up separately.

The final payment will be automatic, billed to the same card used at the time of registration.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to events@shabbyfabrics.com. Please include a statement regarding the reason you are cancelling. Indicate the future retreat that you would like to apply your payment toward OR the name of the quilter you would like to transfer your spot to.

At Camp Lutherhaven, there are no paved roads, parking lots or walkways as the camp is built in the mountains making movement in a wheelchair, walker or scooter extremely difficult. For 2025, we are seeking additional retreat venues that will be more handicap accessible.

Local quilters who wish to drive home each night may do so but Lutherhaven charges the same amount whether quilters stay in camp or drive home each night.
